Every week our devoted volunteers arrive with a beautiful Shabbat meal for a friendly visit with our elderly patrons with special needs.
These visits give volunteers an opportunity to befriend people who are socially isolated due to illness, financial difficulties and other challenges. For many, this service represents their one nutritious meal each week along with the reassurance that our community cares about them. As relationships develop between patrons and volunteers, many lives are enriched.
Help MADA and be the light in someone’s life!
Although MADA’s Shabbat to Share program lights up the lives of hundreds throughout the year, who are hungry or lonely, there are so many more that still need our help!
“No matter how dark the world may seem or feel, light is just a single action away.”
Every Chanukah I bring my kids (ages 3-12) to MADA to serve lunch and deliver Shabbat to share boxes. What better gift to give your kids than teaching them to give back to others?!
